The Development of the Automobile as a Mechatronic System?

The Antilock Brake System (ABS)

Traction Control System (TCS)

Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system

The 32-bit processor is used for engine management, transmission control, and airbags.

The 16-bit processor is used for the ABS, TCS, VDC.

Today, there are about 30–60 microcontrollers in a car.

Key Elements of Mechatronics?

1. Physical Systems Modeling

2. Sensors and Actuators

3. Signals and Systems

4. Computers and Logic Systems

5. Software and Data Acquisition

What is different between mechanical and mechtronics system?

Figure 1 - A spring-force system

In normal mechanical system we use only springs...but in mechatronics system we use microprocessor to control the system.

What is meant by digital mechatronics?

A Mechatronics system integrates various technologies involving sensors, measurement systems, drives, actuation systems, microprocessor systems and software engineering.

Whst is Mechatronics in automation?

The mechatronics system used in automation is explained detailedly in below diagram

What is “Mechatronics”?

computer technology to control the motions of mechanical systems

Mechatronics can also be termed as replacement of mechanics with electronics or enhance mechanics with electronics. For example, in modern automobiles, mechanical fuel injection systems are now replaced with electronic fuel injection systems. This replacement made the automobiles more efficient and less pollutan
